For us architecture is much more than

it is an organic process

For us architecture is much more than
lines, forms, and aesthetics,
it is an organic process
We believe that architecture should be seen not only as four walls being transformed, but as a tribute to the space, its history and, above all, to the person who is looking for transformation.

To achieve this, we seek to know each place and each person, involving them along the process, understanding their essence and their aspirations.

Then, with the help of a close, dedicated, and multidisciplinary team, we explore the relationship between the plasticity of materials, form, light and the space’s heritage to create unique spaces truly customised to those who will inhabit them, and that will exceed expectations up to the last detail.

All this allow us to go beyond a simple transformation of the space.

Because a transformation inspired by an organic being and the richness of a space is much more than just a transformation.

PUPA Architecture

Pupa emerges as a unique expression of working and embracing architecture, with an essentially organic process, inseparable from the human and social dimension.

Each project is conceived from its history, with the aim of creating authentic experiences aligned with the essence of each space. We achieve this by working together with a dedicated and multidisciplinary team, through the relationship between the textures of the materials, the forms, and the light. By triggering a metamorphosis that transforms the space but, above all, those who live it.

A unique approach, with a focus essentially on Rehabilitation, which also extends to New Construction and Licensing, covering areas such as Housing, Commerce, Restaurants and Culture.

In each project, spaces are enhanced, and a real and human value is added to them, where the creative soul finds its true home.

MARTA GALVÃO TELES

Marta Galvão Teles is also, in a way, a metamorphosis.

Since her first traces that her unique look on space, form and environment stands out. After graduating from the Autónoma Faculty of Lisbon, she worked with renowned Portuguese Architecture Ateliers, such as Santa Rita Arquitectos and Atelier ComA.

Later, she collaboratively opened Atelier 106, where she developed and consolidated her unique approach, based on the most inclusive and social aspects of architecture. This approach was first reflected in Reaction Lx — a project that she created and coordinated in 2013 and that left a transformative and eternal impact in the neighbourhood of Graça, in Lisbon.

Thus, Marta pursued a path of constant evolution, which shaped what would become the Pupa project — her own architecture studio. A journey marked by a unique vision and an approach that mirrors the soul of architecture, transforming spaces and lives with unique sensitivity and traces.
